SHORT FILM CONTEST

Calling all filmmakers - professional and aspiring!

Do you have a Borscht Belt story to tell? We invite you to submit an original short film about the Borscht Belt resort era. The top three films will be selected by a jury to be screened at the Borscht Belt Film Fest during the weekend of November 1-3 in Ellenville, NY, in the heart of the Catskills.

The festival seeks both narrative and documentary short films. There is no cost to enter. See details below, including a contest entry form.

“Many people have a Borscht Belt story they would like to share, and now is your chance to share yours. Your film can be a documentary, a fictional story, or animation. It can be about bungalow colonies, rooming houses, stand-up comedians, waiters, or couples who fell in love on vacation. Here’s a great opportunity to capture special memories from family and friends about this fascinating era.”
